How to Monitor Apache Server Status using mod_status module

You can enable Apache status reports to be viewed from browsers following the below steps.

Open your httpd.conf file and add below directive in your httpd.conf file

#vi httpd.conf

<Location /server-status>
SetHandler server-status
Order Deny,Allow
Deny from all
Allow from

</Location>

Many default apache httpd.conf files already have this directive you only need to un-comment this.

You can also restrict the Server_status Output to specific IP or URL.

Example for Restrict to IP

<Location /server-status>
SetHandler server-status
Order Deny,Allow
Deny from all
Allow from 192.168.108.88

</Location>

Example for Restrict to URL

<Location /server-status>
SetHandler server-status
Order Deny,Allow
Deny from all
Allow from techsuccor.com

</Location>

Once done the changes restart apache

# service httpd restart
